Children's Day 09
Stories & Crafts For Children
On August 1, 2009 OCHS had our first Children's Day. Children aged pre-K through grade three were invited to participate in one of two presentations in the Birdsall Room of the Museum. Authors, (and sisters) Gail Hunt and Roni Strain, read stories of the pines from their books, A Tree Frog In A Cranberry Bog, and The Bat's Toe. At the end of story time, children took part in an age appropriate craft. To complete the afternoon, parents and children were invited to tour the Museum.
Our first Children's Day was a great success, enjoyed by children, parents, and all of the volunteers at OCHS. We thank Gail and Roni for sharing their books and skills, and we thank all of the parents and children who participated!
